MT holding football pep rally
MURFREESBORO – After being on hiatus for several years, the Blue Raider Pep Rally on The Square returns to downtown Thursday.
Starting at 5 p.m., the MTSU football team will take a break from pre-season practice and participate in the pep rally that will focus attention on the upcoming season that begins Sept. 5 against Jackson State at Floyd Stadium.
“We recognized the importance of having the pep rally right there on the square in downtown Murfreesboro,” MTSU athletics director Chris Massaro said. “We also appreciate the symbolism of having the players there to help drive home that relationship between the football team and local community.”
